"It sounds to simple to say Casa Camilla is something special, but it really is a special place and perfect for our family vacation ;3 generations ages 9-80! Besides all the obvious beauty of the place here's what we loved: Visits from the dove and cat; thunder and lightening to rattle your teeth; cooking from herbs from the garden; figs fresh from the trees; walking in the woods;big skies and views of the valley that change every 20mins;being awakened by church bells; dolci & gelati from "Catania Natale"; the video arcade in Lastra (say's Daniel); the pool of course; golf at Montelupo and fun with the water pump. "

A distant train's whistle, a church bells chime do set the heart assail and release the mind as a petering breeze, blows mint and rosemary to the hills life seems to be nothing but beauty : surreal

Florentine streets of history, and the language of the people with every church tower; with every church steeple beckons my return, one day to this ville to sit in Casa Camilla , my hideaway on the hill.

Just a short note to say how much everyone enjoyed their stay at Casa Camilla. It was loved by all, for its location, the views, the quiet and the few degrees cooler than the village! The inside furnishings were nicely in keeping with the building. It was also noted that the gecko's do a wonderful job of controlling most of the insect life. In the UK, that house would be crawling with spiders, but I cannot remember seeing one. Please pass on our thanks to your staff who looked after us whilst we were there; they were all very helpful.

Dear Mr. Probst:

I can recommend, without hesitation, the efficacy of the owners and their wonderful property Casa Camilla. Everything was absolutely as it was represented and there were no "glitches" regarding money or anything else.The house is lovely and could easily accommodate 6 adults and 3childrenThe bathrooms are typical european....good fixtures in excellent condition..a bit spare but everything works perfectly. The kitchen is well stocked with all sorts of cooking utensils and there is plenty of china. The grounds are lovely and the view excellent. In warm weather the loggia is a great place to hang out and the pool is greatWe paid by wire transfer and U. S. check without any problems. There is a cell phone at the house that she put credit on and we used it and settled up at the end. You really will want a car while you are there as the village is a short drive away and it is lovely to drive into Florence [the owner will give you tips on where to park] or to visit all the surrounding country side.The owners live nearby,about halfa mile away but were completely respectful of our privacy. It was great to have them close as they brought us fabulous wine and olive oil from their estate at very reasonal prices! Another bonus is that the water at the house is fabulous...
